Why are my test results not showing up on MyChart? ›

Some test results are not released to your MyChart account because of their sensitive nature. Your doctor determines which types of test results are able to be accessed through MyChart and which might require an in person conversation.

That's why TriHealth offers MyChart. Set up an online account through your primary care provider's office with an activation code or on this page to gain online access to your health and medical records, including these benefits: E-visits with a provider.

Access Virtual Care

If unable to access your provider, consider a virtual visit with our TriHealth Clinics at Walgreens. TriHealthNow connects you with a board-certified doctor, 24/7/365, through the convenience of phone or video consults for $49.

Your results may be delayed if the sample is inadequate (not enough blood), contaminated, or if the blood cells were destroyed for some reason before reaching the lab.

What web browsers work best with MyChart? To ensure the best experience, you will need to enable pop-ups and use a recommended web browser or mobile device: Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox web browser, if using a computer. MyChart app for iOS or Android.

Note: MyChart is an Epic branded name. Your organization may use a different name for their patient portal. Access the application on your personal device. Carefully review the app's terms and conditions.

TriHealth uses Epic (Electronic Medical Records) for coordinated communication between all physicians within the network. Test results can also be shared electronically with the patient through MyChart.

Why don't I see all of my lab results in MyChart? Your lab results for most tests are automatically released same day. There are some results that are exceptions and your provider will contact you outside of MyChart with those results. The test results page defaults to show only test results done at clinic locations.

Why can't I log into MyChart? ›

If you try to log in unsuccessfully too many times, you might be locked out of the account. In this case, you won't be able to reset your password yourself. For help resetting passwords and regaining access to your account, please reach out to your healthcare organization's MyChart support desk.

MyChart by Epic

Founded in a basem*nt in 1979 with 1 ½ employees, Epic develops software to help people get well, help people stay well, and help future generations be healthier. There are over 305 million patient charts in Epic, representing patients from all 50 states and over a dozen countries.

All lab results are compared to a standard guideline for what is considered “within normal range.” These standards were developed as a guide but are not absolute. You will see an exclamation point (!) next to the result if it's outside of the normal range, but that isn't necessarily a cause for concern.

Results will be in your medical record, sent to your doctor, and available for you in MyChart on the day the pathologist completes the report.

Under the HIPAA Privacy Rule, laboratories will be required to provide patients with their completed test reports within 30 days of a request, but they will not be required to explain the results to patients.

That depends on the test. Some can be done right in the office or a nearby lab, so you may have the results that day or the next. Other tests may take days or weeks, especially if they have to be sent to a specific kind of lab.
