What to see in Sardina del Norte

1. Sardine Beach

Sardina has a small beach with practically all the services. In fact, in 2017 they awarded him the Blue flag for the quality of its waters and benefits. That is, it is accessible for people with reduced mobility, it has security, bathrooms and showers. Its sand is blonde and its waters are crystal clear. That is why it is one of the best places to do diving in Gran Canaria.

2. The Sardine Pier

In addition to Sardina Beach, at the end of the promenade is its pier. Here you can dive, fish and take out your kayak to explore the Sardina coast. Many people also tend to lie here to sunbathe and bathe. Besides, Apparently Christopher Columbus ordered La Pinta to remain repaired at this dock on August 14, 1492 before discovering America.

3. El Roquete Beach

If we follow the promenade, once past the pier, we arrive at the cove that we see below. It is El Roquete Beach. It is made of pebbles and right in the middle there is a small cave house. A nice postcard from Sardina.

4. Salgo Pass

If you like to go kayaking or canoeing, just a few meters away is Paso del Salgo beach., although it is so small that it is more of a cove. You can only get here by sea or along the coast when the tide is very low. Be very careful if the sea is bad!

5. Martorell Beach

You will have to get to this beach by car, since it is not located in the town of Sardina itself. To get there you must follow the coastal road towards Agaete. It is just 5 minutes by car, towards Botija. There is an access at the top that we show here (you can see the path), and another access right next to the coastal road. In both places you must park on the ground. This beach has no services or surveillance.

6. El Farallón, Roque de Tábata or Roque Partido

The Farallón is a beautiful volcanic rock formation that juts out of the sea. It is located just a few kilometers from Sardina and can be seen perfectly from the Sardina Pier on the horizon. But to appreciate its immensity, we suggest you go there by car.

To get to El Farallón you must take the coastal road from Gáldar direction Agaete (Botija road). After leaving Martorell Beach behind, you will reach some banana plantations. Just where you see a red sign for a cheese factory on the right, you take that dirt road and you will arrive. The road is not paved, so you either go with a good 4×4 or leave the car next to the cheese factory and walk about 500 meters. These are the views you will have of the Agaete coast. You can also see, of course, the Sardina Pier that we showed in the previous photo and many times Tenerife. Stunning place.
