Patients can access their Olathe Health hospital and clinic records online by logging onto the Patient Portal. Through the Portal you can:

Managing Other Accounts
With proper consent, you can add and view medical records of family members. For example, parents/legal guardians of a minor child (ages 0 – 17 years old) may sign up to have Proxy access to their child’s Olathe Health Patient Portal account. The information available to the proxy varies by the patient’s age to ensure the confidentiality of our patient’s health information. However, all medical records can be requested through the physician’s office or hospital medical records. Read below for additional details.
Definition of a Proxy: An adult person who is given individually unique access to a patient’s Portal account. This individually unique access means that the Proxy uses their own email, username, and password to access the patient’s Portal. This access is different from the patient’s own access. A Proxy is not required to be a patient of Olathe Health.
What information is available for proxy access in the Patient Portal for children ages 0 – 12?
- Past appointments
- Lab test results
- Medications lists
- Visit notes/summary
- Allergies
- Immunizations
- Scheduling appointments
- Sending a message to the provider
- Receiving messages from the provider, including health information the provider needs to communicate to the parent regarding their child.
What information is available for proxy access in the Patient Portal for children ages 13 to 17?

A few additional details:
- NEW! Teens may establish their own Patient Portal account using their own email address, as permitted by parent/legal guardians by completing the bottom section of the Acknowledgement of Proxy Access to Patient Portal for a Minor form (#OHS235).
- NEW! Once the minor turns 18 years old, the proxy’s access will automatically terminate. It can be reinstated by completing the Authorization of Proxy Access to Patient Portal form (#OHS2384).
- Foster parents are not allowed to sign up as a Proxy. They may obtain health information by requesting medical records by completing records request form.

Rather than anticipating a phone call from your physician, you can access the results of your lab work and health system records by logging onto Olathe Health’s Patient Portal. With the Patient Portal, you can communicate securely with your clinic physician and staff, request appointments, submit prescription renewal requests, view test results and manage your health profile.
Patient Portal is not intended for emergency communications or services. Emergencies and urgent conditions should use urgent care, emergency department, or call 911.- Make an appointment with your current provider

All Olathe Health patients using the Patient Portal may:
- View your test results online
- Track and review your records within the Olathe Health hospitals and clinics 24/7
- Have a better understanding of your health history for reference on future health screenings and doctor’s visits
If you are an Olathe Health Physicians (clinic) patient you may also:
- Communicate securely with your physician or the clinic staff by sending an email through Patient Portal
- Request/change appointments
- Submit pharmacy renewal requests
- Contact staff at Olathe Medical Center, Miami County Medical Center or your Physician’s clinic, and ask them to sign you up. All they need is for you to verify your personal information and provide an email address.
- Remember your PIN – write it down. You will need it to activate your account.
- You will receive an email invitation. You need to follow the instructions in the invitation to activate your account.
- The message will come from IQHealth ([emailprotected]).
- You must do this for each account you request. Note: Check your spam folder if you do not see a message in your inbox within two days of requesting Patient Portal sign-up.
Inbox and Secure Messaging
When you log on to the Patient Portal, you can click on “Messaging,” where any unread messages from your physician’s office will be displayed. From here, you can choose to send a message to your physician’s nurse or send a message to request a prescription renewal. All messages sent and received through Patient Portal are secure, however, please note that your physician’s nursing staff may help triage your messages to and from the doctor.Appointments
By selecting “Appointments,” you can request a new appointment, view upcoming appointments, reschedule or cancel an appointment.Clinical Results
You can view lab results, such as blood work, and radiology results. Your doctor’s office will still contact you to discuss any results that are considered out of range, but you’ll be able to access your results online, print and track them over time.

When a new message is sent to you through the Patient Portal, an email alert is sent to the email address you provided when you set up your Patient Portal account.
